Bring your imagination and creativity! In this exciting and interactive workshop, participants will discover how schools are integrating “making” into classrooms and libraries by joining us for a Makerspace Monday of hands-on exploration. Design, tinker, code, and create while diving into the elements that make a dynamic makerspace-from robotics and circuits to 3D design and storytelling.

Aligned with the NJSLS for Computer Science (8.1.2.CS to 8.1.12.AP and 8.1.12.CT), this session emphasizes hands-on learning that supports computing systems, algorithmic thinking, creative problem solving, and innovation. Learn how to foster these skills across the curriculum-from STEM to the arts to humanities-while making meaningful connections to core CS concepts.

Curious about launching or expanding your own space on a budget? This workshop offers practical strategies and inspiring examples for building affordable, cross-curricular makerspaces. Walk away with ideas, tools, and confidence to bring student-centered making into your own learning environment.
