In this hands-on 5-hour workshop, teachers of grades 6-12 will explore how to bring computer science to life through game-based learning with Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. Participants will learn how to create interactive, retro-style games while introducing students to fundamental coding concepts using block-based and JavaScript or Python programming. The session will cover game mechanics, sprites, animations, and physics, along with strategies to engage students through gamification.

By the end, educators will leave with ready-to-use lesson ideas and projects to make CS fun and accessible for all learners—no prior coding experience required!
