CS Coastal Hub Workshop - Game On: Teaching Game Design with Block Coding (Grades 3-8)

Ready to level up your classroom? Join us for an engaging, hands-on workshop designed for teachers in grades 3–8 to explore the exciting world of game design through block coding! Using a free and accessible coding platform, you’ll learn how to guide your students through the process of planning, designing, and creating their very own digital games.

Throughout the session, you’ll get to build your own game from the ground up—and at the end, we’ll celebrate by playing each other’s creations! Whether you’re new to coding or looking to bring more creativity into your curriculum, this workshop will equip you with the tools and confidence to bring game design to life in your classroom.

Please note: This workshop is intended for PK-12 teachers from New Jersey Public Schools. This workshop is part of a grant-funded project, the CS Coastal Hub, and is available at NO COST to attend. Teachers attending workshops after-school or in the summer will receive a stipend from the CS Coastal Hub.
