CS Coastal Hub Workshop - Introducing Artificial Intelligence for Young Learners with KIBO
This 3-hour hands-on workshop equips educators to introduce foundational concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) in the early grades using KIBO robots. Participants will experience key lessons from Thinking with KIBO, exploring automation, sensing, and representation through playful, developmentally appropriate activities. Educators will also learn strategies to connect AI learning with cross-curricular content and help students reflect on how AI impacts their daily lives.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with sample activities, adaptable lesson ideas, and confidence to bring age-appropriate AI explorations into their classrooms.
Audience: K-3 (early elementary) teachers, informal educators, and curriculum specialists interested in introducing AI concepts with KIBO. (Available in our Lending Library)
