Climate Change Learning Collaborative: Exploring Climate Change Through the Lending Library
This workshop invites educators to engage in an open exploration of the Climate Change Learning Collaborative’s Lending Library, a collection designed to support powerful teaching and learning around climate science, sustainability, and environmental action. Participants will have the chance to interact with resources that bring climate change concepts to life, including tools for investigating renewable energy, monitoring environmental data, modeling human impacts, and exploring solutions for resilience and sustainability. Educators will also discover literacy-rich materials, games, and project-based learning kits that connect climate science across content areas and grade levels.
Throughout the session, facilitators will highlight connections to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, including climate change requirements, and share classroom examples of how these tools help students analyze data, think critically about human-environment interactions, and develop problem-solving skills for a sustainable future.
Please note: This workshop is intended for teachers from New Jersey Public Schools. All CCLC workshops are available at no cost but pre-registration is required. Teacher stipends may be available for workshops occurring after the end of the school day.
